Session 9 Report, February 8 2022

General Summary

• The party met with Volo back in the Yawning Portal… Volo was hopeful for Floon’s return

• Upon discussion, Volo learned that the party had failed to reach Floon the first time but would go back and continue the search

• The party also learned the following from Volo…

• Floon is a writer as well, like me, except he writes about corruption, deceit, fraud, misconduct of those in high positions

• Floon's book is due out in a couple of days, and… we plan to flee waterdeep once Floon’s book is released because... it has to do with possible corruption and affair with Laurel Silverhand and Dagault Neverember (current and former Open Lord of Waterdeep)... and a tie in with a mysterious faction... Floon was going to tell Volo about before he went missing

• Volo (asking about the red eye reacher creature) “find a way to feed it blood and take out that red central eye”, “they are summoned and used as guards... the entrance to the hideout was probably close by, look for a hidden, secret entrance”

• VOLO... “Hey, I’ve got some things for you... I hope to help aid you in your search! -goes and asks Durnan to go to the back… comes back and gives you three items

• Upon entering the sewers, the party made their way back to the location of the red eye reacher

• They fought the creature once again, it was previously damaged and Anvil managed to grapple it and keep it from flying

• After being hit with several party members attacks, Pennie ran and scampered up on Anvil and came down with her flux knuckles and almost killed the creature, fantastic attack

• After the creature was finally destroyed, Tiffany found a secret entrance to a hideout of some kind and followed it inside

• Making their way through a few short hallways and empty rooms, the party discovered a room with two sleeping goblins and noises of voices in the next room, beyond the door… the session ended
