Session 8 Report

General Summary

August 9, 8318

The party continued northward, making camp as night falls.

August 10, 8318

Titus’s watch was interrupted by a Squirrel sniffing around the camp. Titus tossed the squirrel a bit of bread, and the squirrel thanked him. To Titus's surprise, the squirrel transformed into an elderly elf. He introduced himself as Reidoth, a doctor who is studying the effects of Ichor on the local environment. He has taken on several plant based augmentations, namely a replacement eye made of a lotus flower and a strange, softly pulsing leafy plant wrapping around his side. He explains the leafy plant as an augmentation to his immune system to help him deal with the low grade ichor exposure, but does not elaborate on what happened to his eye.
The party traveled with Reidoth to his outpost on the edge of town, during which Reidoth spells out the threats within the town. He informed them of a green dragon who has taken up residence within the town and requested that they find a way to persuade it to leave, fearing the effects of ichor on draconic biology. He also warned them about a number of ichor mutated creatures, and requested that the party try and find a way to stop the source of the ichor.
The party wandered into town, and, after avoiding a number of corrupted areas, made their way to the cabin at top of the hill where they were told the dragon resided. Farah snuck into the cabin, searching the main room, and in her attempt to move deeper into the building, ran face to face with the dragon. Not the winged, clawed beast legends warned her about, but instead a somewhat humanoid person of reasonable attractiveness. After some extended “conversation”, she persuaded the dragon to share with her a map of the region, with the location of Wave Echo Cave marked quite clearly.
The party returned to the cluster of buildings in the center of town, and began searching for the old apothecary they had been told about by Mirna Dendrar. They saw something gleaming stuck in the ichorous ground, and entered the blacksmiths shop in the hopes of finding something to help them extract it. When Bree walked into the shop, Two pustule covered corpses stood up and attacked. The party dispatched them, and Bree managed to acquire a long piece of Iron stock. The sight of the mutated humanoids proved to be too much stress on Titus’s mind however, and he bid the party farewell, leaving to try and lead a more peaceful life in Neverwinter as an actor.
