The Lady of Fury
The Lady of Fury began her life as the daughter of a poor military family, Rin Sania, in the Land of the Thirteen Kingdoms. Rin was trained by her father who had been a master of many martial arts and had mastered the art of the sword at the age of five. However, her family was murdered by assassins following her 16th birthday and Rin had been left to die. She prevailed by her sheer indignation at those dishonorable beings who murdered her family, and she was tended to by local prostitutes. Falling into their number, she continued training into various nights imagining gaining her bloody revenge and never falling into despair. Eventually, she was proposed to by the local king of her province, who had seen Rin’s beauty and might, and she was asked to train his concubines. She accepted his proposal under the clause of hunting and challenging the disgraceful assassins who murdered her family with her new cohorts. The king accepted Rin’s clause and Rin had discovered a conspiracy over the years to assassinate any loyal commanders of the king. Finding the homes of the conspirators responsible for her family’s deaths, along with those who wished to kill her husband, she challenged each one to combat. She slaughtered each one mercilessly and took their spines and skulls as trophies to frighten those who had vexed her. During her wrathful journey, her lover had been kidnapped by the conspirators. Her rage at the schemers drove her and her cohorts into an unwinnable battle to free her king. She slew and screamed in absolute hatred of those before her who had no honor or dignity. When her companions had nearly all been slaughtered, she pledged her life to Yánwáng, or Addramelech to the west, to gain the strength to brutalize her enemies. Her companions pledged their lives in a proposed ritual by a pact demon as Rin slaughtered the rest of her allies while Rin’s enemies looked in utter horror as Rin descended into the Archon of Wrath, Nü Gui. The Lady of Fury swiftly killed all of those who threatened the life of her husband who rejected his former lover as a horrendous demon. Not honoring his agreement of love to the Lady of Fury, she seethed at his betrayal, murdered the king, and took his soul with her to her new realm in Sheol. She now sits on a throne made of her enemies and her follower’s enemies' flesh and bone.

Nü Gui views things very simply: one either fights and earns her favor, or one is a coward and receives only scorn. Source Gods & Magic pg. 25 2.0 Minor Boon: Nü Gui grants you a weapon whenever you need one. You can use an Interact action to draw a 0-level non-magical iron weapon, even if you have no weapons on your person. Such a weapon lasts only as long as you continue using it to attack, and it can’t be sold, given away, melted for scrap iron, or the like. Moderate Boon: Your blows become unstoppable, carrying the momentum of Nü Gui’s thrill for battle. Your greatsword Strikes gain the forceful trait. Major Boon: Nü Gui feeds you the zeal of his undying warriors, allowing you to draw upon your own life force to fight on and on without falling. Whenever you would be reduced to 0 Hit Points, you are instead healed to half your maximum Hit Points and become doomed 1 (or increase your doomed condition by 1). Minor Curse: Nü Gui rewards cowardice with frailty. Any armor you wear and shield you wield reduces its item bonus to AC by 2 (minimum 0) and its Hardness, Hit Points, and Break Threshold by half. Moderate Curse: You’ve lost the glory of slaying a worthy opponent. All of your weapon and unarmed attacks decrease their damage dice by one step, and all your attacks are nonlethal. Major Curse: You are unable to keep up with the rigors of combat. The moment a combat breaks out, you become fatigued and slowed 1. At the end of each of your turns, your slowed condition increases by 1. These conditions end only when you are no longer in combat.Herald:
