Pope Pallidus Amarerum
Prior to becoming pope, Pallidus Amarerum was one of the circuit clergy.
During his travels, he became popular among the lands due to his kind and humble nature.
Even though he is now the Pope, you wouldn't guess it when you see him out and about because he often refuses to wear his ceremonial garb and usually wears casual clothes.
He has significant holy gifts.
He is the kind of person to give the clothes off his back to someone in need.
There once was a time where the Pope went missing for a few days. He was found severely injured. He said that there was a group of individuals who needed help. He offered to help them and they ambushed him and beat him up. When asked why he didn't use his holy gifts to defend himself, he said that he didn't want to harm them and his holy gifts are dedicated to the purpose of fighting Abbadon and the evil he created, not the children of God. Someone nearby had seen the individuals that harmed Pallidus and it was easy to prove their guilt since they were wearing Pallidus's clothes. When they did find the perpetrators, the Burning Halo started building a pyre in the streets, ready to exact judgement, but Pallidus refused to condemn them. He said that nobody steals without reason. Instead, he found them jobs and helped them get their lives back to the straight and narrow.
The Cardinals and the Archbishops have had to tell him that he needs to think of himself and his own safety because of his position of power. He says he never regrets his choices, even if they bring harm to himself, because he was able to help one more person. There are those that view him as naive and others view him as the exemplar of grace and kindness.
Pallidus Amarerum's father was from Kuldar and his mother was from JinJaru. He loves telling the story of his parents love. He calls the tale, "Love from the ends of the earth".
