Castamere Vårinsson is a warrior and strategist of great renown. He is the Lord of Hollow-Creek Hall within the Kingdom of Majik.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Castamere has the physique of a trained warrior and is measured at 6 foot, 5 inches of height. He weighs roughly 230 pounds and is broad of shoulder.

Facial Features

Castamere’s eyes before the three days were often described as warm and caring. Since the end of the war Castamere’s eyes have taken on a more somber tone with the horrors of the war evident within them. Castamere’s face is heavily scarred with the most notable wound being the scar going from the left side of his face to his neck, the scar leaves a gap in his beard.

Castamere often wears blue gambeson and a white fur-cloak. His surcoat is emblazoned with the red wolf of his house.

Personal history

Castamere Vårinsson, also called "Cass", by some, is the head of House Vårinsson and Lord of Hollow-Creek Hall. He is a close friend to Charles I Cowan and currently serves as his Master-at-Arms within Bloodhaven. Sometime during his youth Castamere bonded with a dire-wolf which he named Grey Wind due to the beats deep grey coat, the two have been together ever since.

Education

Castamere is highly educated, having toyed with the idea of becoming an Ældar in his youth before turning his mind to strategy and bladecraft. As such Castamere can often be found within tomes of a large variety of topics during his free time.

Employment

Castamere currently serves in Bloodhaven as Charles I Cowan’s Man-at-Arms.

Mental Trauma

During the war, Castamere was placed in charge of a battalion that was sent to destroy the castle of Merryhall. It was during the battle that followed that would bring about the end of Castameres' involvement in the war and his adoption of the title of "Red Wolf." What occurred that day he will not speak of, however it is known that the event did in some way involve fire, a fear that Castamere has long held, even during his childhood.

Morality & Philosophy

Castamere is known for his unwavering sense of honour and justice and his friends tend to find him kind. This demeanour is told to differ greatly from what it was prior to the Three Days War.
