TotTRB - Episode 6 - A Canary in the Mousemine
General Summary
Every good adventure begins at a spa, and this one is no different. Fern and Havoc return to their investigation of the Steamed Spirits that have troubled the waters of Han’s Spa. Soon they are down into the bowels of the city, a hub of pipes leading deeper through the walls. Encountering the most vicious Ginomouses and even more spirits of steam and dust. Fern's knowledge of Primordial allowed them to parley and gain passage. As well as the curious assistance of one quite bullied steam spirit, Maurice.
From the shadows, a shuffling body, the deceased and escaped Mister Gurty was drawn to the sound of Havoc and Fern's voices. Deeper, a doorway to be pried open by Havoc leading to a natural cave system. The waters here softly glow, and the vines seem ready to snatch up the bird and elf. But caution proved useful, the shrubberies stayed their branch. But the Cidea Jumping spiders on the other hand, made for a quick ambush and a battle. It was proven true that a badger is the greatest enemy a spider could have by the deft work of Fern in yet another form.
But greater spiders lay deeper still into the webs that surround the path before the Plumdarts. A great orb weaving spider proves to be more than the party can handle. Striking down Fern with a powerful paralytic poison, and then goaded out by Havoc biting into the bird and ending his call. Maurice, didn't get involved. Now the question remains will Alagad return and find his friends? Will he be able to rescue them before they are eaten by the great spider of the deep?
