Alaida Sinclair
Former Baron of Hommlet and despot of the Dominion of Hommlet. She was also the highest-ranking member in the quasi-governmental/semi-religious organization, the Shacklers of Ferros. Alaida inherited her various positions from her mother, a former Baron herself, and was well-accustomed to the burdens of leadership. She was popular among the conservative citizens under her rule, as she was a vocal advocate of following the wisdom in tradition, especially the enslavement of lesser peoples. Her supporters held aloft her history of keeping peace and order within her Barony, while her detractors lamented that her methods could often be needlessly brutal.
In Ches 499, following what she claimed was a failed assassination attempt in the city of Aurum, she gathered her closest allies (among them, her son Ludlow Sinclair, a general in the Aurelian Legion) and formally ceded her holdings from Aurelia.
Alaida was finally killed by the Knights of Rennfreid during the Sacking of Hommlet.
