Clarise Lerent
Born into a family of pious Basilicans inside the town of Goodberry, within the rolling pastoral countryside of Aurum, Clarise Lerent was the first in her noble lineage to try her hand at politics. Beginning as a humble scribe, she went on to serve several years as a popular and effectual Regional Magistrate, and upon the death of former Baron Theobold Ryman, she was unanimously championed by the Basilica to ascend in his place. She was a much-beloved figure in Aurelian politics, considered to be pure of heart and intention, and clear of mind. Her few detractors may have accused her of being too softhearted.
Working with the Knights of Rennfreid, Clarise struggled to hold together Aurelia during its final days. Despite her best efforts, she was ultimately unsuccessful. She was killed in battle against Severn of Rennfreid while fighting alongside the Knights.
