Gilded Egg
Created by: The Traveling Parent
Function: To give birth to the new Traveling Parent by absorbing the life that comes into contact with the twisted spire inside of it.
Size: 25cm diameter
Description: A massive wooden stand rested separate from all the other wonders nearby. Atop it, metal bars crisscrossed tightly in a box. It appeared as if it were a cell. Heavy iron chains wrapped the container, tightly locked by massive glowing locks. I approached warily and peered inside through the crossed bars.
A sculpted silver egg, made of woven swirling tendrils rising from the bottom like snakes, sat unmoving in the center. Nothing about it gave me any sort of impression or magical desire, as the cleaver had. Nor did the appearance itself give the impression of magical use, like the crown. It struck me as the beads had: that it was an object of simplicity, merely made for some cosmetic or testing purpose. But the container convinced me otherwise. What would Mordred have to fear so desperately that he might lock it away in such a manner?
