Marosi, the Marquis of Music

Also known as the Wandering Bard, Marosi wrote many songs about historical events, traveling around Teralt, and "seeing it all".   He collected the most popular or artistic versions of any songs or stories he encountered in his travels, binding them into a book entitled, Marosi's Musical Musings.   Marosi is a Nak'Shyr born of the Aro'Nak. He was a noble among his people, but threw away the responsibility and power that came with the role in favor of his passion, storytelling and music. Because of this behavior, Marosi was shunned by many nobles, despite being viewed as a hero by the lower castes of the Nak'Shyr for his willingness to live among them instead.   He is famed for his presence, and it is told (by him) that the Marquis’ arrival brings great joy and inspires the people to pursue their passions. He has been known to teach his skills to villagers that express a desire to learn, and– as it is told– single handedly inspired the growth of great artists and the spread of effective techniques.   Marosi created many works of visual art while he was a noble, painting frescoes across temples and within mansions before abandoning the commissions and instead painting art freely throughout settlements he traveled through.   Marosi’s most famous student, Fera, utilized his teachings to bring about a revolution in multiple cities. Her artwork– painted in secret– and songs performed in anonymity expressed the power of rebellion by the masses against the unjust noble classes and successfully toppled one city's government. Others merely adopted changes to placate the masses.   Marosi is a vocal protester, and much as the governments of areas he vists wish he would be silent, he is far too famous to be "taken care of" in the usual way. If one believes his tales, however, he has been abducted, tortured, and forced to perform for a secret circus—all on separate occasions. But then again, if one were to believe everything Marosi would have them, they would believe he knew the secret to everlasting life.
