The Bloodspire Empress Miria Rohnama Dal
Known by many as "the Serpent's Matriarch", Miria Dal is a cunning and vicious leader. During her father's reign, Dalia was beginning to come apart at its seams. But when Miria ascended to the throne, she did so by incredibly violent means, such as public crucifixion and, when one of the Dalian territories rebelled, white-flag assassinations.
After bathing the Dalian throne in the blood of her enemies, Miria declared herself the uncontested empress of the realm, to her two older brothers' terrified compliance. During the first two months of her reign, however, she discovered that her brothers were plotting with her younger sister to remove her from the throne. To set a standard, Miria crucified each of them around the top of the Dalian palace's Central Spire, thus earning it the name "the Bloodspire" and her own moniker, the Bloodspire Empress.
A nursery rhyme and children's game inspired by the events:
Crimson ribbons flowing from the tower!
Listen to [him/her], [he/she]'s got all the power!
To [his/her] order, we shall all be dancing!
For [his/her] warder, we shall all be prancing!
People shouting, whose hearts are all afire.
People spouting, to hang atop the spire.
