The Knights of the Hand

The Knights of the Hand are a secluded order of men and women who protect the Godhand, preventing it from being used by power hungry mages. Incidentally, they also protect those that seek it out by keeping it hidden because of its intense divine radiation. The Knights live atop Mount Saint Kahl in their stronghold, Kahl's Keep. The Godhand is kept in their vault, which cannot be opened from the outside, by design. Kahl sealed himself away within the vault, sacrificing himself to the aura of the Godhand in order to keep it safe. The Knights employ Magic Hunters as a message service, feeding them crystallized magic pellets to tame them. The pellets are made by the Magic Knights, mages that serve as the magical branch of the Knights. The Magic Knights are adept at fighting Ancients, as they've had much practice defending Kahl's Keep from Ancient invasions. A member of the Knights later helps to steal the Godhand to seal away the Ancients, as he believes it will best protect the Godhand in the future.

Some members of the Knights of the Hand pray to Yarnel, God of Combat, for protection and victory in their endeavors against the Ancients, and Yarnel obliges as best he can.

Many Knights of the Hand answered Yarnel's call for aid against the Unmakers and fought in the Battle in the Lilies.
