Eth (Eth)

Both the Layer of Fire within the realm of elements and the living concept of Fire.

Ethlisthen, The Layer of Fire

Ethlisthen is a place of scorching heat. While often drawn as being caverns of magma, the actual Ethlisthen is just fire, heat, and everything that encompasses. The interpretation of it is that it's a wild fire with no fuel burning it, the spirits that live there both passionate and childlike in their enjoyment of destruction.

Eth, Ruler of the Layer of Fire

Eth is a rather unusual individual. Often depicted as a woman with flowing hair of orange and red wearing a dress of blue. Though her portrayal varies vastly, from a vindictive monster who will set entire forests on fire for fun and someone who punishes people for mistreating her to someone who keeps people warm while the cold seasons are in.

Though how Eth actually is is just as wild and chaotic as actual fire. Like a child she will cause destruction if given the opportunity, though not out of maliciousness, typically out of curiosity. Like most elementals she is more simple in her way of thinking, though she is not dumb by any means.

Spirits

Spirits of Ethlisthen are not typically varied, but they are often very curious, and whatever they touch sets ablaze.

Ember

Embers are the most common of the Fire spirits. They are often thought of as starting a fire and bringing their friends to the party. Not entirely incorrect, though they do choose where to start fires rather carefully. A person knocking over a candle and starting a huge fire is not an Ember's fault. It's more that someone else has sent out the invites.

Embers tend to be the first to the party and the last to leave, keeping the area warm.

Blaze

The Blaze is usually a passionate dancer of flame. Usually being the fire itself while the Embers are just the start and end of a fire. People who watch fires sometimes say that they can see the Blaze dancing.

Shamans

Shamans of Ethlisthen are often people seeking the destructive power of fire, though it's not uncommon for it to be a person who is simply curious or enjoys being around fire.

Common Appearance

Shamans of Ethlisthen usually have very warm skin, as well as their hair seeming to move in curious ways, the ends flowing upwards or simply moving in an unusual way.

Common Tasks

The most common task a Shaman of Fire could have is to both start and stoke a fire, usually for a period of time. Due to this, in more tribal cultures the Shaman of Fire is a Firekeeper, while with some cultures they simply have a fireplace or some sort of equivalent.

Common Abilities

To no one's surprise. A Shaman of Fire can start fires, or even make existing fires bigger. While they aren't as combat ready as an Arcanist or an Artificer, the Shaman of Fire can do things that they can't, start a fire anywhere. Where an Arcanist has their own rules and an Artificer typically needs a way to get fire energy over there, a Shaman of Fire can point at somewhere and start a fire.

They also can sometimes even withstand being in fire and hot areas, often calling it being invited.

Common Bans

The most common ban is that the person is not allowed to fight fire. They can not put a fire out actively or ask someone to put a fire out. The ban usually does at least let the Shaman not interfere with people putting the fire out.
