Summer Camp Pledge

My creative goal is to have a readable draft of a novel by the end of the year. My motivation is that I want to prove I can do something decently good.

My challenge goal is to achieve the diamond badge. Hopfully this will help be create a more stable habit of writing.

18th of July Update:

So not so good news. I haven't really kept up with the prompts. I kinda feel terrible about it actually. The month's already half over and I only have two or so of the prompts even created. All of which have very little substance to them. At this point I'm gonna have to tackle two to three articles every day for the rest of the month. Let's seen how that turns out.

21th of July Update:

Not as good of news today as I had hoped, but better news than the other day. I have been making some slow progress on the prompts and I have rearranged my priorities and plans for the next week in order to accomidate this goal.

The current plan is to write three 300 word articles for the pledge for the rest of the week. I am going to remain diligent in this effort. I have found that updating this article as well helps me organize my thoughts in regards to this goal even if noone else reads it. I'm doing something and that's what important.

24th of July Update:

So, I'm at 14 / 31 promts done with about eight days left. That means I need to get about two or three written per day. In word count that's at least 300 - 900 words a day. I'm at least making some progress.

26th of July Update:

So I think things are going a bit better. I'm at 20/31 promts completed with about six days left. I do think my quality of writing has improved a bit, but I do still see the drawback of quantity over quality. I'm hoping that if I have time after I submit all the entries, I can go back and update a few of them.

27th of July Update:

Not much to say today. I have about eight articles left to write. I feel a bit more comfindent now that I'll mannage to complete this challenge. Even though I don't feel the quality of my work has improved very much, it's nice to have some of the ideas I've had finally written down in a retrievable place.

30th of July Update:

Three more to go!

It's currently 4:35am where I live and I only have one more prompt to go!

I have finally completed all 31 promts at 5:21 in the morning!
