The Autobiography of Feyo of the Rising Sun

Feo of the Rising Sun was a Metisian pirate and explorer who maped the eastern Terrabore sea. Her autobiography tells tales of deep sea civilizations that she believed to be the decendents of the Hrog. The book was heavily criticised to be far from factual despite it being marketed as complete the fact of Feo's life.

The book begins with some some stories of Feo's childhood and then focuses on her experiences in the Imperial Navy and her eventual foray as a merchenary. The book then briefly touches on an affair with Sapphyrah Du'Elling and then tells her adventures as a pirate in the east.

One thing of note is that the book is very blatant in regards to Feo's queer sexuality which, while generally accepted in the wider reaches of Terrabore, at the time lesbianism was illegal in most Metisian provinces which resulted in the heavy censorship and banning of this text.

In the 1600's this text was adapted into a children's book called Feo the Pirate by Donya Cart. The new version of the book sold much better than its predecessor though was heavily critcised for its poor depictions of Hronians.

Purpose

To provide full documentation on the life and expeditions of Feo of the Rising Sun and tell the tales of her many adventures and acquaintances.

Historical Details

Public Reaction

The book was not popular with most Metisian audiences due to its frewuent obsenities and foul language. However, the book had mixed reactions among Hronians as many did actually believe that Feo met living Hrog people and the text even inspired some to get out on the sea and search for their ancient cousins.

In the later years of the Deonnic Republic, the book was considered "Hreo trash" and was banned in some Metisian schools.
