The Dragon Tower

In the depths of the Commonlander Spiderwood Forest there is an old tower that looks as if it is slowely falling apart. Surrounding it are the ruins of some illegible city or town. The tower rises high above the trees of the forest as a powerful reminder of the dangers of the Commonlander wilderness, even moreso when the sear of a dragons breath remains in the air.

Purpose / Function

It's likely that the tower was meant to be some sort of watch tower or beacon for the town beneath it.

History

The origins and much of the history of this perculiar structure remain unknown. Even more mysterious is the people who onced livid in its town. There is very little remains of the people themselves in fact. There very few skelletons or other remains, save for those that were burried in the sparce graveyards. The condition of the city combined with the scarce trace of human life, leads many to believe that somehow these anchient people just vanished shortly after building the city.

The tower got its name from and event where it became infested with the Commonlander veriety of dragons. These pest spread through the forest and pushed many of its human inhabitants out into city areas. The tower's height over the land made it stand out even among the trees and four two whole decades one could always see a dragon crawling upon cracked stone.

Tourism

Most tourism if any is from the occasional thrill seeker of ghost chaser looking for fun or something to do. It's also not uncome for children and teens to attempt to explore the area. Often even more so after being told explicitly not to do so.
