The Spiderrun Necromancer
A one-shot campaign where players accompany a necromancer investigating a haunting in an ancient ruin.
The King's Daughter
The first area is the local tavern the King's Daughter. Here the players will need to handle primarily charisma based tasks in order to gain knowledge of the town and its people.
The Arm Wrestler
To the right after walking into the building, the player will see a hooded character at a corner table. This is a chance for the player to earn some extra money. When approached the stranger will bet that they can beat the player in an arm wrestle. The results of the match will depend upon how much of their baststory the player has revealed to the arm wrestler. If a player wins first try, the hustler will congratulate them, shake their hand and leave. Their winnings will amount to 50g. If they loose they will loose what they gambled, and the hussler will remain at the table. A player may wish to challenge them again and the only difference will be that if they win they will recieve 50g plus the hussler's previous earnings.
Old Man Shivering in the Corner
Shivering in the far left corner there is an old bearded man schouring the entire tavern at a distance. He's looking for something. When the player interacts with him they will see a tiny name tag on his shirt labeled 'Haruto.' The man says to nobody in particular, "Where did I leave my coat?" If the player attempts to carry on any further conversation with him he quicly changes the subject back to his coat. If the player offers Haruto their own coat or jacket, he will politly decline. "No, I don't want you to be freezing now either." he will say. If a player returns to Haruto with his coat, the old man with give them his thanks and 2g. If a player orders "Dragon's Breath" from the bar and brings it to the man, he will thank them greatly and reward them with 10g saying, "Here. I hear the Khaltorian Platter is to die for."Angel Statue
By the bar there is a medium sized broze-looking statue of an angel. A heavy coat is thrown over its shoulders in a disorganized manner. A closer look at the coat's collar reveails a tag labeled 'Haruto.'The Bartender
Players aproach the bartender to order drinks or food (see The King's Daughter for menu) as well as gain basic information on the town.
The Woman in Black (Continues Plot)
Sitting at the bar you see a woman wearing a long black dress. She seems to be whispering with someone on the barstool to her left. To most people it looks as if she's talking to empty space and the conversation continues as such: Woman in Black: You know I hate meeting in public. Woman in Black: You can't even drink. The woman looks around and smiles before she turns back to her conversation. Woman in Black: "The MOE's got his britches twisted over something that happened in the old churchyard the other night. There's whispers of Atom and devils. He doesn't like the idea anyone, 'straying from the path.'" The womans voice has gained a whisp of annoyed sarcasm. She continues "He's had every test and precedure ran on that place, but now he's resorted to asking me to purge the area. Discreatly, of course. Woman in Black: "Well, Spiderrun belongs to Auma now. And he doesn't have to be purged if he can be pacified. Please, this is serious." The woman's face softens into a pleading expression. Woman in Black: "Thank you." However, if a player has the ability to hear and see the dead, the coversation will be complete as follows: Woman in Black: You know I hate meeting in public. Spirit: This was one of my favorite spots. Really, you should try their spider juice and rum. It's one of lifes delights. Woman in Black: You can't even drink. Spirit: No, but that's not why I come her. It's that atmosphere, the memories. The woman looks around and smiles before she turns back to her conversation.
