Demon

Demons are the most widespread type of fiends. They are usually chaotic evil by nature, and are native to the Abyss. Demons have no true rulers, though powerful demon lords and deities are able to gain enough power and influence to gain control over sizable armies of demonic creatures. They were once the sworn enemies of the devils, though their ageless war came to an end upon Asmodeus' reign of the Nine Hells.
Demon lords, or Abyssal lords, are powerful demons that command many other demons and rule a layer of the Abyss. Each demon lord has a unique appearance and set of abilities. The most powerful demons lords are called demon princes. Since demons have no set hierarchy, both titles are self-proclaimed, and the demon lords and princes fight against each other constantly. Demon lords are also considered archfiends.
