Magebay
Origin of wild frost magics that wander Kedoric(see: Living Winds)
Infrastructure
While most of the cities in Kedoric do have warmer parts of the year, Magebay remains frozen at all times of the year. The combat this, the wizard that gave the city its name created a form of warding around the shore so the port could still be accessed.
On the note of the wizard, a tall tower watches over Magebay from the city's center. Very few people have actually seen the wizard that lives inside. Their last public appearance was when the tower was nearly stormed by a mod demanding to know why the warding over the shore could not be spread to the rest of the city. A very vague answer was given, but for some reason the mob was sated.
Districts
There are three main districts that make up Magebay, not including the area around the Wizard's tower. They are as follows:
The first district that the average traveler would enter is the Economic district. Many of the shops and other businesses can be found here. This district forms an arc around the Residential district, directly connecting it to the Industrial district.
The next district is the Residential. Surrounded by both the Economic and Industrial, this district makes up the center portion of the city. At the heart, the area housing the Wizard's tower can be found. Small agricultural regions around found here as well. Maintained by druids, these regions protect they city's agriculture from the harsh environment found year-round.
The third district can be found along the coast. The Industrial district is where many sea-bound travellers will come and go from the city. The ports of Magebay are the most reliable way to import goods from outside the region. Despite the importance of the ports, they are not the main focus of the Industrial district. Held within the district is the Magebay shipyards. The ships produced here are seen as the greatest quality in Moorgate and in some surrounding regions.
