"Strength is required to wield power. Power is required to achieve victory. Those who are strong shall flourish in this world. Those who are weak, what can they do...but BURN!"
All who have live, shall also die. Those who flourish, will diminish. Like trees in forests that burn in fire, come back stronger or not at all. This is the philosophy of Beroil. All things die and all things shall end, but the ending can lead to a new beginning, a rebirth. However, those who are promised rebirth must earn it with labor and pain. Pain is an excellent teacher as some claim. And none are a better teacher than Beroil.
Beroil is the God of fire, destruction, and rebirth. The evil brother of Ayos. Beroil believes that in order to be better you must be broken. And weakness deserves to be destroyed. To seek council under Beroil is to seek council under a ruthless tyrant who does not accept failure nor disrespect. Beroil’s reputation outside of O’tun is that of a destructive force. But within O’tun, the people believe his true face is that of making the world reborn. The reason people often believe Beroil is destructive is that fire burns and destroys plant and animal life, which makes up a good portion of Terra. However, when burnt down, sometimes a plant can spring back to life after nurturing, this is the reputation that the citizens of O’tun place onto the god of fire. Beroil’s true nature is that of a Lawful Evil deity, one that believes fire is the supreme element and there is a reason it leaves nothing in its wake. Because it is strongest.
Those who seek the power and aid of Beroil also seek great risk. For if you contact Beroil, it can only end in two ways. Either you found the power you sought, becoming much stronger and tougher as Beroil has found a use for you. Or, you find yourself imprisoned in his chains and forced to serve those he deems stronger. Those who worship Beroil for his power and prove themselves strong and fierce find themselves as generals and commanders of armies and warrior tribes. While those who fail fall as foot soldiers and slaves to the mightier champions. Beroil does not act as a fiery tyrant for the simple pleasure of it, but because he sees the world as weak and wishes to strengthen for harsh reality. He does not sit on a throne for praise, he sits on a throne so he has a clear view of everyone and can destroy weakness when he sees it. Other than a mere cruel king, Beroil is more of a harsh and abusive father who strengthens you with pain and courage.
