The Return of the Invincible Conqueror

"Under the dark sky he is born, amongst an inferno and the clash of swords and shields. He will once again ride the demon stallion and wield the  Lance of Anikitos to finish what he started so many years ago..." -Hazel the Witch, Priestess of Iskander

This is the legend and prophecy that states that the spirt of Iskander the Invincible will once again be reborn in Attika and will rise once again to conquer the world. The legend was first written in The Agnostos se Mana, an apocryphal document supposedly written by a priest of Ayos who was divinely inspired during meditations atop a temple high in the mountain peaks of Attika.

Summary

The prophecy in question is written thusly: "Under the dark sky he is born, amongst an inferno and the clash of swords and shields. He will once again ride the demon stallion and wield the Lance of Anikitos to bring the world to its knees once more."
There have been many readings on what exactly these points mean, some believing the dark sky to be an eclipse, while others maintain it simply means a new moon on a dark night. Others have proposed that the inferno and clash of swords and shields, was the sacking of Malaka, during the Pelo-Attikan war, and that Stanikos Dakina was, in fact, the hero reborn.
What is mostly agreed upon is that this prophecy states that the spirit of Iskander the Invincible will be once again reborn to conquer all of Terra.

Historical Basis

It is known that Iskander the Invincible was an actual historical figure, though much of his story seems to be embellished more by myth than cold hard facts. Unfortunately, most of the histories burned during the sacking of Malaka, and many of the events that occurred during the rise and eventual death of Iskander were lost.

Spread

Only the priests of Iskander continue to believe and pass down this prophecy. It is, in fact, their most holiest of doctrines. Most of the priests of Iskander now seek to travel the world following up leads on potential candidates for those who fit the very vague tenets of the prophecy.
