Decius Menard
Father to Nashor and ex-leader of the Ashen Hands, he is a overconfident and charming man with a heart of Silver (tainted only by his own pride and ambition). He was born to Tullius, whom was also a member of the Ashen Hands, and grew beside them indulgent in the stories Tullius would tell of the Knights Ash-Hand to which the Mercenary group carried the legacy of.
He would become of age into a prominent member of the Ashen Hands in part due to his skill with their chosen equipment: A Mace and Shield with a supplemental Crossbow. Although he was well versed in combat, his charisma and determination in his vision of the Mercenary group saw him much beloved amongst the group and thought a fool amongst the residents of De'mah.
Eventually, he became the leader of the band of warriors and saught to make them into what he envisioned as a more honorable and noble company. This saw the greatest rise in their ranks in a century. It was also during this time that Decius met Floria, his wife to be, and would later concieve a son with. For a year and a half Decius had seemingly begun his road to knighthood. This was until a disease began to spread among west Deviara and work became sparce, prompting the taking of ever more and more shady work, the culmanation of which resulted in crushing a town militia defending itself from Deviarin troops attempting to impose harsh and unjust quarantine measures.
With his pride crushed and the reputation of the Ashen Hands once more in shambles, Decius decided to swallow his pride. If he could not have the admiration and good will of the people, he would have to settle with the respect of his men.
