Ligurian is a socially awkward nerd, mostly ignoring people and spend most of aer time in the library.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

I have awkwardly long limbs and hide myself behind my tentacles. My dark purple-blue tentacles and eyes stand in a bizarre contrast to my pale skin and hair. Even though I am a water creature, there is an owl next to me as a familiar.

Body Features

The torso of a cecaelia is humanoid and has a very pale skin tone, ae has a muted blue tone. The eyes stand in stark contrast to aer light complexion, being rich blues and blacks, dark eyes especially adding to their mysterious character. (Ligurian dyed aer hair with magic though, naturally it would be the same blue as are tentacles or eye colour.) However, the lower body of a cecaelia is their most striking feature. From the waist down Ligurian is akin to a large octopus, bearing eight long, dextrous tentacles which can both propel themin water and carry aer on land. These are often deeper blues, but aer has the ability to alter aer colouration, giving aer an even greater range of exotic colours and patterns. The bottom surface of the tentacles are covered in a layer of soft hydrostatic discs. Ae can manipulate these discs to create a suction powerful enough to suspend ae out ofwater, as well as grip opponents with frightening strength. The tentacles are strong enough to support aer weight above water and provide movement on land, albeit at a slower pace than that of surface-dwelling races. Though prehensile enough to manipulate objects, the tentacles do not possess the manual dexterity or speed to weildweapons effectively enough to be useful.

Facial Features

Ligurians face resembles a human quite a lot, aside from the sharp teeth that can bite through almost anything Ligurian ever tried them on. Next to aer throat are gills in order to let ae breathe underwater as well as on land. Aer ears are a mixture between the elfish pointed and the rounded human ones, though they are mostly covered by are hair. Said hair is incredibly light, due to Ligurian's magical enhancement. (Ae wanted to try out whether ae could, but never bothered to change it back.)

Physical quirks

Ligurians tentacles are always moving. Even while stationary, a cecaelia's tentacles are typically in constant motion, independently feeling out the environment around them and stabilizing their body. Due to the laack of obvious genitals or features that have to be hidden on land, ae mostly travels without clothes, but always have some in are bag.

Special abilities

After years of studying, ae learned how to control water around aer, but doesn't always use it. Instead, ae prefers to use aer necromancy skills, something that feels much more like are instead of the obvious connection from aer body to water.

Specialized Equipment

Ligurian isn't as specialised as some other Cecaelians, due to aer mixed heritage. Aer mother is living along a tropical coastline among coral reefs. Aer father is from the open ocean. So, ae has some featured from both of them, but not enough to be fully considered and accepted into either society. But ae never cared much for that anyway and specialised into everything else that can be seen on land.
