Aasimar

Overview:

Aasimar are human-based planetouched, native outsiders that have in their blood some good, otherworldly characteristics. They are said to have been blessed by Deora herself.

History:

Aasimars were once a thriving race that lived as equals to other sapient species. In the age of peace, they had their own kingdom and royal line that rivalled Bethos'. Unfortunately, their strength was also there weakness, because as Aasimars grew stronger other kingdoms began to fear them. This climaxed when the great drought occured and the kingdom was attacked by a coalition of other kingdoms. In the aftermath of war most of the Aasimar race was culled, and the remaining survivors were forced to become slaves to the Kingdom of Bethauna if they wished to live.
In modern day, Aasimars are relic of the past. Some still live, however Bethauna uses the Deorum religion as a way to oppress the them into slavery (view the Deorum religion page for more information).
