Morah - Region

Overview:

The region of Morah is the largest region in Bethos. Known for its deep history and traditions, Morah is widely regarded as the culture capital of Bethos and is where many soldier's opt to settle down after thier days of fighting are over. The region lacks any official authority, so strength and respect are the keys to survival in Morah.   *As the party learns more about Morah, more information will be added*

History:

Morah was founded by the last surviving knights of a fallen kingdom of Ta. After the kingdom of Ta fell, its remaining knights felt they no longer had a reason to fight, so they travelled across Thalin's Bay and found the region of Morah. The region starting with the settlement of Ta Rel, which was named after the kingdom of Ta's late king Rel, and slowly expanded into a full region.   Shortly after being established, the region of Morah became known as a resting place for soldiers of fallen kingdoms. Its population increased rapidly and now is home to many settlements and businesses alike. The most popular business in Morah is fighting, as people will travel from across Bethos to witness the famous colosseum battles.

Diplomacy:

Morah is does not have any traditional leaders. Instead, the leading source of authority in Morah is strength and respect. Those who are strong may do whatever they like in Morah, however, those that disturb someone stronger than them are usually killed or forced to leave town. The closest thing to leadership in Morah are the Vi Kings, which is a title given to the three founding knights of Morah. The Vi King title has no political power, but the three Vi Kings are very respected figures in Morah.

Geography:

This region is made up of all settlements located on the eastern side of Thalin's Bay. The capital of Morah is Ta Rel and it's landscape is very weathered as a result of the various deserts across Morah. The most prominent desert is Ta Desert, a desert so ruthless it is believed to be uninhabitable.
