Carrier

A type of item combined with a spell to make a system for leaving messages. Once the item or message is attached to the carrier, the person does a spell(spell varies  between regions, but is a form of teleportation worldwide), and waits for the recipient to get the message. The carrier itself can be anything, from a brick to an exquisitely crafted piece of art, as long as it can act as a magical conduit, and is not living or edible.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The spell tells the magic to flow through the item and transport it in a manner similar to how radios and other electronics get information.
