Moonshard

Overview

The shattering of the moon has resulted in the regular cascading of the planet by small shards of the moon's surface. But these are no longer just moon rocks but rather crystalised parts of the moon that have been impacted by some form of magic.

The result is a crystaline substance that can hold and release magical energies - some think it can contain electrical energies too - but for now their use is limited to their magical spell inscription, and empowerment. Several magic using classes have now found that their magic will work only with such Moonshards being used as physical components or as replacements to normal components.
