Obsidian Weaponry

Overview

The Obsidian Weaponry of the Atlantean Ranger Corp, is sourced from a living source. The Obsidian Scaled Shadowfish of Lake Kyria provides an Organic Obsidian Scale that can be used in the creation of Obsidian Tipped Arrows.
The recipe for the creation of the material is a closely guarded secret but it is said to also include Orichalcum.
The material can also be layered on top of existing weaponry to give the edge of each weapon are dark black glow that adds +1 to damage done by the blade due to the keeness of the weapon edge.

This is part of a curse (or blessing) from Vulcan affecting the Lake's inhabitants.

Physical & Chemical Properties

The scales absorb 99.5% of light when hit by any light source making them always appear shaded. The Obsidian Scales add damage due to their keeness, however if they were made into a form of Armor they add an extra +1 to the armor as well - but this has not been developed by the Rangers.

Origin & Source

The Organic Obsidian now grows in the scales of the Obsidian Scale Shadowfish from the very depths of the lake.
