Preservation Teleport
Overview
Key Landmarks in Atlantis and around the continent are said to suffer from a Teleportation Effect that moves the entire landmark, building or even the entire complex, instantly from a designated area in Atlantis, to another area somewhere else either on the continent or on other continents, and in some cases perhaps other planetary bodies.Source of the Law
An Aubaydi Proverb, states "Man fears time, but time fears the pyramids," it is said to be a fragment of the spell cast in the element of Time and is even thought to be a side-effect of Chronic Anachronisms, or perhaps some form of protection against them that was created prior to the Anachronisms being inflicted on reality.Cause of Activation
If a landmark is under physical attack, or is otherwise endangered, the entire building moves. The time period for which it is gone is always random - sometimes it comes back instantly, sometimes it will stay away for decades at a time. it is therefore NOT something that most Atlanteans want to 'trigger' as many landmarks are critical to Atlantean lifestyles and safety.Guard Functions at such Sites
It should be understood that many site guards are in fact guarding against someone trying to trigger such a response - more than trying to protect the building or the landmark itself - it can take care of it's own.

Not all protected sites are known, but of the one's that are known to be protected, there is the following list:

Manifestation
The blessed or cursed object or person is teleported to another location somewhere in the Cosmos. This can be as far away as another planet, or as close as 60' (18 meters) down the street. The affected object or person is seen to disappear in a heat-wave like shimmer. There is no glow or flash or sound accompanying it. Tests have shown that once the shimmer starts - no physical contact, magical disruption, psionic connection or even an attempt at a divine intervention will affect the results. Anyone jumping into the shimmer is found to be dazed for 1D4 turns but otherwise not affected. (Note some state that a single item in their possession goes missing at the time of any such intervention, but this is said to be just a rumor.)
Localization
This teleportation effect only occurs in response to potential damage or unauthorised access in some cases. The teleportation is said to usually affect those inside the monuments at the time of teleportation (with a roughly 66% chance of it affecting them), but not those around it or on them. Such individuals find themselves standing on an empty spot near to the site where the object, building or person was standing.
