Overview

Sir Genfor is a retired semi-adventuring old knight, with no family and a small keep to maintain in the midst of a rundown fen that turns into a full swamp in winters. Genfor barelymaintains a small barony north-east of Pavis, and rules his area from the Grimhold.

Ad Pacem

He operates under the law of "Ad Pacem" the short form of "ad pacem per honorem tenetur" (He is bound to peace by honor). This means he will not attack or partake in any combat during a mission, quest or task that has been placed upon a Knight under his tutelage. This makes him only an onlooker in all combat situations and he will only defend himself - not help any other individual in combat. This of course may be a Contrivance For Honour - but none will ever challenge him on this matter. He is able to barely maintain enough physical prowess to keep his Knighthood status active - but he knows that with time, his abilities will drop below the bare minimums needed in order to maintain his status - in addition his followers are so busy taking care of him that he sees no opportunity in the future to ever improve their lot in life too. His only benefit is that his Barony is not on the front line of any action and so is relatively safe from harassment by and large.
