Temple of Poseiden

Overview

The Poseidia - the Temple of Poseidon stands at the center of the Capital city of Atlantis. The Temple itself takes the form of a classical temple - similar to that of the Acropolis in Athens, and houses a statue of Poseidon.

Orichalcum Fittings

The Temple is covered in Orichalcum metal - with the walls and pillars of the Temple as well as parts of the roof being covered in the substance. All of this metal is Consecrated Orichalcum and makes the detection of magic inside the temple nearly impossible without some form of interference. (Detect Magic Caster must cast as Level 15 or above to succeed). This has had the effect of greatly reducing fraudulent trades in the temple - as no one wishes to risk being cheated in a trade.

Orichalcum Pillar

The Temple also houses a giant Obelisk of Orichalcum - this is regularly hit by lightning of various hues and through the power that it receives from each stroke - the Pillar is able in turn to power all the disks of Orichalcum used on the Continent. Should the lightning ever fail - the Disks would cease to operate as they do.
