The Abdicated Slave Clastes

Overview

The Abdicated (Abid) are the slave caste of the Aubaydi Caliphate.

Put in general terms the Djinn consider all corporeal forms of life to be slaves of the Djinn Race. The World is put into four categories of slave, each is considered a very different class of slave and is recognised as such under Aubaydi Law. Djinn take these categories as the ONLY categories that matter about corporeal beings. The actual race of the individual is only noted in terms of relative value of the specimen for particular tasks, but these are more refined considerations.

The Abducted - these Abid are under the illusion that they are free. They have been abducted from the truth by some other power and must ultimately return to their state of slavery.

The Newly Abdicated - these are Abid who realise that they are seen as slaves and have at some point bowed to show their acceptance of this ultimate truth. They may not accept it - but they have had the realisation that there is such a path available to them.

The Abdicated - these are the Abid who are now enslaved to the Djinn and follow their ways.

The Abdurated - these are the corporeal beings who cause others to bow to the Djinn. This sign of authority that the individual may have over others is the only factor that a Djinn will show respect to. It is always useful to have a corporeal being who can show others the correct way to behaive. That being said the Abdurated are treated as merely a strengthened Abdicated who is willingly follow the way of the Djinn and bring others to be enslaved by the Djinn. This class of slave includes all forms of Slavehunter, Slave Traffickers and Enforcers the actual race of such individuals does not matter - what matters is that through their actions they further the Djinn cause.
