The Planetia Canals

Overview

This is a 200 X 130 square kilometer area on Atlantia Planetia covered by a series of canals for the movement of goods to and from Atlantis from both the Dwarven Kingdom of Kharazad and the Golden Harvest Zone of the Plains - the area most known as the bread-basket of the kingdoms.

This area allows the Kingdoms to maintain a constant flow of goods to and from the main areas of trade in the kingdoms without the creation of complex road networks and use of livestock to move goods. The waters of the Canals are all managed by Naiads and Potemids from the linked rivers and lakes in the area - allowing for swift and efficient movement of goods across the plains.

The Grand Canal

The minor canals all feed towards the Milling Round and Warehouses that border the Grand Canal. This 200 kilometer long and 25 kilometre wide canal allows for the connection of the Shaded Lakes of the Northern Escarpment (the Shaded Lakes) to the coast line of the Plain, and a newly formed canal connection into Atlantis itself.
