The Trident

Overview

The Trident is the name given to the three armed forces of the Kingdoms of Atlantis. The Trident are the three elements of the Armed Forces, which include the Atlantean Army, the Naval Forces, and the Special Forces, which include flight units, magic based units, covert units, and research units.

HQ Command Symbol

The core symbol of the trident is utilised as the standard for all units in the Atlantean Armed Forces. The HQ version is a Trident with two tines entwined to form the trident as opposed to a solid single forged piece, this is to represent the individual function of each of the elements of the Armed Forces.

Structure

The three commanders of the armed forces - the Navarch (Naval Commander), Polemarch (Warlord) and Scholarch (School Master - Special Forces Units Commander) form a unit of strategic masters along with the King and Magemeister to give orders concerning force objectives.

Culture

The Atlantean military has a diverse culture, being drawn on from the five kingdoms and five principalities of the human realms, and the elven realms as well.

Public Agenda

The protection of Atlantis and her interests in the World. The Atlantis Military seek to be seen as openly pursuing the unity of the ten sons of Poseidon, and also to improve people's lives. However there are too few of these soldiers to be everywhere.

Assets

The main asset of the Atlantean Military are the Timely Seven - Seven texts that appeared in the Atlantean Library after the faltering of Chronos. These books, when interpreted indicated new forms of battle order, strategies, tactics and even weaponry.  The results of using these texts were the development of the Legion System.
