Thieves Gold Card Currency Deck

Overview

"Do you have your Gold Card?"

The Gold Card is a currency earned by individuals who perform tasks or missions for the Guild or who are being funded by the Guild in full or in part.
The Thieves Guild issues three types of decks to Thieves. A Thief's deck will often be a mix of those three types.
The three types include one communications deck, one currency deck and one empowering deck. A single Thief can easily carry a hundred cards in their 'deck', with the deck consisting of multiple examples of each Card type. Each card has it's own purpose.

Currency Deck

The Currency Decks of Atlantean Thieves' Guilds come in the form of Gold Playing Cards. The Cards can be used to purchase gear, services, and training from Thieves Guild affiliated vendors and the Guild itself.

Valuation

The lowest denomination is a '2' and the highest is an Ace.

Manufacturing process

The Dwarven smiths encase embossed vellum in thin layers of gold to create each card.

The Gold Deck is imbued with pure gold and printed with ichor from a variety or poisonous spiders and snakes, or so it is said.

Tools

Only the Thiefmaster has access to the exact tooling skills needed to make the deck - it is rumored that the Thiefmasters Guild itself forge the decks along with Dwarven smiths.
