The Island Red Fox, is a distinct and enchanting subspecies native to the island of Lockfate Holm. Evolving in isolation, this small breed of fox has adapted to the unique ecosystems and climates that characterise the island, resulting in a creature that captures the imagination with its charming characteristics.
Measuring about 20 inches at the shoulder and weighing between 9 to 12 pounds, the Island Red Fox is smaller than its mainland counterpart, yet possesses a certain grace and agility. Its fur is a rich russet hue, blending seamlessly with the autumnal colors that dominate Lockfate Holm's landscapes. The coat is exceptionally thick and plush, providing insulation against the island's cold winds and sometimes snowy weather.
The Island Red Fox exhibits distinctive facial features, characterized by a set of large, expressive amber eyes that gleam with intelligence.
