Blast Furnace
Blast Furnace is the high-temperature furnace used by the blacksmiths of Ohugas. Unlike ordinary furnace, the blast furnace can smelt large quantity of iron ores into cast iron to make crafts used by the townspeople.
Blast Furnace has recently been used for producing tonnes of crude irons to create military equiptment for themselves, and formerly as a tribute for the Empire of Kritus.
The giant bellow powered by the waterwheel intake the air into a large stone bloomery, which workers throw away their ores and fuels into. With the heat of both source and product, the workplace always light with red and white.
Utility
Cast iron from the blast furnace are good for armors but not weapons, as it's strong but brittle. However, since the council have no interest in wars anyway, they use it the other way to use them; Kitchenware, clothes decoration, building decoration and so on, making the Ohun become Ohun.
During Kritus occupation, more labors from the capital had been brought there to help them extracting more iron ores, increasing the demand and made the blast furnace work at full performance as it should be.
The blast furnace was geographically built for the Ohugas, which is harder to replicate outside. With the help of Kritus, the blueprint of this technology was written for their own engineers. Another two or three furnaces were built inside Knirk, but since have been destroyed by Ohuna slaves in the period of the independence.
Only the furnace at Ohugas is still active, along with improvement to make it better.
