The Healer - Greater Deity

The goddess of healing, the blessed nurse. Adriel is considered a greater deity, elevated to her status by Alma. She is worshipped by millions of people and performed countless miracles while in her mortal form.
Adriel was a missionary that possessed an extraordinary gift that she felt a divine calling to share with the rest of the world. From a young age, she identified a unique ability within herself to calm and subdue the ailments of others. By simply laying her hands on another and uttering a soft prayer of devotion to Alma, she was able to remove and soothe wounds, curses, and even terminal illnesses. Naturally, word of such actions caused people to be skeptical (and even frightened). One by one, people began to see Adriel's gift as genuine. Her skeptics turned into believers, and she garnered a large following. As she grew older, she began traveling the world as a missionary, sharing her gift with those in need and cleansing countless sick and diseased. People would flock in droves to see this all-powerful wonder, just to have the opportunity to receive her other-worldly touch. Adriel was a demi-god in her own right, with entire tribes, cities, and countries of people worshipping her. A life of servitude did not go unnoticed. Adriel was elevated to an eternal life of goddess-hood in the divine realm by the One creator Alma. She is still cherished and revered, and especially prayed to by the sick in times of need or great anguish. She is said to look kindly upon those who follow in her stead; clerics and other devout followers attribute their worship of Adriel to their ability to heal using divine magic.
