Vessaille

God of the Oceans and the High Seas - Intermediate Deity

A religious staple of seafaring civilizations, Vessaille is the personification of the forces that control bodies of water, wind, marine life, and passage on the open waters. Believed to be a mythical cosmonaut that sails the stars, Vessaille commands the tranquility, or the volatility of the seas. Many coastal communities that rely on aqueous transport to sustain their way of life commonly have large, ornate monuments dedicated to the Sea God. He is the brother of Charna, God of The Rains, and also the fallen God Anzus, the Lord of Storms and catastrophes. It is said that when Vessaille becomes angry, it is because of a quarrell with his brothers; torrents of rain and floodwaters descend upon the lands below. When Vessaille regains his calm, he blows into a conch shell to ease away the stormclouds, restoring peace and calm waters to the seas.
