Evermorn

Demographics

The hamlet of Evermorn is populated entirely by Satyrs.

Government

The hamlet is ruled solely by The Elder. The Elder serves the Hamlet as not just its leader, but its archivist, and chief druid as well.   The Satyrs of Evermorn are exceptionally peaceful and conflict is virtually nonexistent, leaving the role of The Elder to be far more administrative than legal.

Defences

Buried deep in the mystical Redwood, Evermorn has rarely seen visitors since the beginning of the modern age. In common knowledge, the hamlet is nothing but a fairytale that even the few visitors to the Redwood almost never find. Additionally, Evermorn, and the Redwood as a whole, were under strict protection for much of the last 300 years by a fae creature named Lillan.   This relatively permanent peace lead to Evermorn's resident becoming vulnerable, which nearly left them ready for a massacre before the Attack on Evermorn in 839 2E.

History

The hamlet of Evermorn was founded sometime early in the Mythic Era. The hamelt's stories say that it was founded after the event that caused the creation of the Whispering Willow Dale. According to legend, this event - referred to the the Separation or the Autumnal, caused the ground to open up and separate the Redwood form the Greenwood, resulting in the formation of the dale. Once the Separation was complete, the Satyrs of the Redwood sought to start anew, and founded Evermorn deep in the forest along the southern edge of {NAME} lake.   Being burried among the mysticism of the Redwood, Evermorn would go on to live a long, peaceful existence with few visitors, and even fewer conflicts. This unfortunately resulted in a populous who had not considered how to defend itself for an extended length of time.   In 839 3E, the hamlet was attacked by a fae invasion. The guardian of the Redwood appeared in Evermorn one night, falling to her death, signaling the invasion. The Elder, along with the help of a rare traveller to the town, was able to stave off the invasion and get the villagers out to safety on one of the islands in the lake. The Elder unfortunately gave his life, but the village keeps a red flower garden in the hamlet's center as a dedication to his sacrifice.
