Alfmarcron

The Alfmarcron is usually near to top of Alfmarridgid, however, there have been sightings around some of the peaks of the other mountains in Iss Wuglim Marrs. This flying creature is known for its size, roughly 8 feet from head to tail and a wingspan up to 16 feet, and ability to swoop from the sky and easily snatch an unsuspecting creature weighing upwards of 40 pounds. It loves to hunt on cloudy days as its marbled light grey underbelly blends into the background clouds, allowing it to get close enough to strike before its prey can flee into the underbrush. As part of attracting a mate, the males of the species have a dazzling display of colors and stripes on their backs. Spreading their wings out their very short hairs create amazing patterns with stripes of multiple colors. It appears that the female, whose backside is more a molted white, favors the male with the most vibrant and contrasting colors.
