Razorwing
The razorwing is a large winged beast that dwells primarily in the foothills of the Iron Spines and the northern Empire. Its body is covered with scales that give it a natural armor, though it does have fur down its back and around its face. It has the ability to lift itself off the ground, though it is an ungainly flier that relies greatly on gliding. It has the ability to swoop down and pin its prey to the ground. On all fours, it is still quite agile and fast, able to run like a large cat after its prey.
It prowls the canyons of the northern empire flying and gliding between the rocky pillars. Northern Imperials will often try to capture and train the razorwings to be used as mounts. A juvenile one can carry an adult human on its back, but it cannot lift itself and a rider off the ground, as it is simply too small. An adult razorwing can carry a rider in the air, at least to make a charge before it must land again.
