The Cairnlands
The Cairnlands are the forests to the northwest of the Blood Plains, the barren heathland that separates it from the Iron Empire. Tall firs and spruce trees grow in the rolling hills of the Cairnlands. The forest itself is fairly wet and cold, suffering seasonal monsoons like the western regions of Ceralus. There is often a mist and fog over the Cairnlands, especially by the coast, as the warm ocean air meets the cold northern air and gives the woods an almost ethereal feel to them.
Localized Phenomena
The Undead are more common in the Cairnlands than in any other region of Terraneus, though this is due in a large part to the culture of the Cairnlanders.
