The Firelanders' Conquest

The Firelanders arrive from the Firelands, the deserts to the south of the coast of the Shimmering Sea that stretch to the Ivory Savanna. They sweep along the northern coast and quickly seize many of the cities that had been there, establishing themselves as the rulers.

The Firelanders had always been a known entity for the Iron Empire and the people along the coast (related to the people of the Ivory Savanna) but the people along the south coast of the Shimmering Sea and bordering the Great Ocean were still caught off guard when the Firelanders rode out from the deserts and swept across the coast, conquering most of the cities and expanding their reach to the Ivory Savanna within three generations.
