The Mist Wars

The Mist Wars are spoken of in the oral traditions of the Ivory Savanna Tribes and the Tribes of the Iron Spines. To a lesser extent, it exists as a reference made in ancient Imperial texts from which the Imperial Record is compiled, but there is little information recorded of what truly occurred. The People of Sun and River have more records that date back to that time, but only the Kana may study them...

The Mist Wars refer to events that occurred outside of Terraneus's history. From what scholars have interpreted and reconstructed, based on the oral traditions that survive and what records they have available, the Mist Wars were a time when warlords and kings would lead armies into the Mistlands, likely to combat the Mistwalkers, though this was before the Age of Storms.   It is theorized by some that perhaps getting involved in these Mist Wars was part of what led to the decline of the Old Iron Empire. Others scoff at that concept, and claim that the Mist Wars are likely to simply be an attempt to explain why the Age of Storms occurred. To this latter group of scholars, the Mist Wars are a fabrication of perhaps a few foolhardy kings.
