Eosphorus, God of Natural Disasters & Revolutions (ay-OSS-foh-russ)
The Bloodied, The Hand of Riot, The Breaker of Chains
Portfolio
Eosphorus is the god of riots, upheaval, undeath, natural disasters, and revolution Eosphorus believes that the law is only used as a tool by the oppressors, and that it is better to forge one’s own path Eosphorus is no longer a creature of evil and bloodshed, but he still understands that revolution can be bloody, and that freedom is hard-won through sometimes distasteful actsDepiction
Eosphorus is depicted as a huge half-orc or human man with long black hair, clad in rusted, bloodied armor, holding a massive battle axe. He is sometimes shown as undead, with bits of bone showing through his armor, or as a warforged with eyes of flame. Eosphorus was once the god of slaughter and bloodshed, acting as his father Akmon’s attack dog. However, due to the love and kindness shown to him by Elowyn and Kallias, he cast off the role his father had given him and began a life of helping the oppressed rather than hurting them. Eosphorus is brash, loud, stubborn, and tends to act before thinking. He can be incredibly intimidating, but his fearsome exterior hides a somewhat shy, unsure, gentle man. Having been in bondage himself, he champions freedom for all people. He is an absolutely fearsome warrior and he still revels in combat, although he has also learned that sometimes freedom is won not through battle, but through words.Relationships
Eosphorus is the son of Akmon and Tanith, but he no longer associates with either of his parents. Several gods still distrust Eosphorus even after his redemption, most notably Eriu, but the rest have welcomed him with open arms. He spends most of his time with Kallias and Elowyn, his lovers, to whom he is deeply devoted.Symbols
