High Class Taverns

High class taverns are typically found in upscale neighborhoods, the city’s Noble Quarter, and some middle class areas. Building designs range from simple to elaborate, however the exceptional quality of both their food and lodgings is a point of pride for these establishments. They stock the finest Eisen ales and wines, as well as imports from around Europa (and sometimes from even farther afield).   These taverns generally have live entertainment in the evening, always hired from The Most Noble Society of Bardic and Performing Artisans. And, while they don’t require an entry fee nor a particular state of dress, any who look scruffy, disheveled, or with ratty clothes may find themselves closely watched and quickly shooed away if they are disrupting patrons.   Most high class taverns, in addition to the finest food, drink, and entertainment, also offer lodging for individuals who are traveling through the area. The rooms are situated away from the main dining area and so are quiet, well-appointed, and secure. Some of these taverns may also have suites of rooms, or a small set of richly appointed rooms, for the most distinguished guests.   Those with a Wealthy or Aristocratic lifestyle are most likely to be found in a high class tavern. You may also find those of a more Comfortable or Modest means who either chose to treat themselves, enjoy a night out, or hope to improve their station by rubbing elbows with higher class individuals.

Participants

All of the High Class Taverns in Eisen are part of The Hospitality Consortium. In fact, a tavern will only be permitted to open and run their business in some areas if they present verification that a Master of the guild is the owner.
