Kalahabras Empire
Demography and Population
The southernmost empire, the Kalabhras Empire, spans the southern tip, most of the Dekhan Plateau, and both the Western and Eastern Ghat mountains along the east and west coast. The ruling family is Bharat loxodons (loxodons with smaller ears, tusks, and darker skin), and the elephantfolk make up the majority of the Brahman and Kshatriya nobility. The region is home to most other beastkin, including the Khaani, an indigenous leonin ethnic group resembling tigers instead of lions, that live in the western rainforests. They share the rainforest with the vanara, an ancient heritage of monkeyfolk who once fought alongside the hero-king Rama in a mighty battle against the rakshasa armies of Ravana.
