Kelesta, Goddess of Fate (kuh-LESS-tuh)
The All-Mother, The Scaled Mistress, The Fatespinner, The Dispassionate Seer, The Lady of Justice
Portfolio
Kelesta is the goddess of fate, prophecy, dragons, memory, and magic The matters of law and anarchy, of malice and mercy, mean little to Kelesta. All are necessary in the loom of fate, and she does not fall to any such paths.Depiction
Kelesta is shown as a stern, imposing woman, wearing a dark gown and holding a pair of scales or a distaff Kelesta is an enigma, even to her followers. Her motives are completely inscrutable, save for the need to see the tapestry of fate lay out as it should. She is said to never interfere with the affairs of mortals save in the most extreme cases, but that her hand can be felt in every movement and every tick of a clock.Relationships
Kelesta is the sister of Gorath, the wife of Morwen, the mother of Nicodemus and Peitho, and the grandmother of Kallias Kelesta is the queen of the deities, and the others treat her with the respect she is due. She very rarely interacts with her kin, leaving them to their dealings while she focuses on her work. Her relationships do not seem to interfere with her role as head of the pantheon, as she once banished her own son, Nicodemus, to mortality for breaking one of her rules. Her relationship with Morwen is even more complicated, as she is the one who orchestrated the creator god's imprisonment.Symbols
Kelesta’s holy symbol is a pair of feminine draconic eyes over a tapestry Kelesta’s colors are indigo, black, and white Kelesta’s favored weapon is the kukri Among Kelesta’s other symbols are scales, dragons, looms, thread, and needles
