Golden Eagle Trading Company was formed. The founding members offered stock options in order to raise funds to establish new trade routes between Eisen and the Summerlands . The initial returns on the investment made the stock certificates extremely valuable and they became regularly traded.
The wizards of Terranon attempted to become God-Kings. They held behind-the-scenes sway over empires and warred ferociously, ripping the land asunder and terrorizing the uninvolved. Before they could take the world further past their constant warring across nations, the collective governments of Europa stepped in to stop their fighting before it plunged the war into mortal chaos. All told, the Wizard Wars cost Europa over 5 million lives before the Westphalia Treaty ended the battle for supremacy in 1648.
Kingdom of Avalon is hit by a series of extreme storms cause large scale property damage and failure of much of its agiculture. Food shortages leads in minor uprising that are quickly by the goverement.
The major enclaves of Wizards agreed to neutrality amongst their various factions and agreed to be beholden to their national governments should hostilities arise again and any particular wizard deem it prudent to try for world domination. The Montaigne revolutionary wars end, starting a new era of political awareness across Terranon wherein the structure of nobility is fundamentally shaken
Pitting several of Terranon’s countries against one another as the Emperor of Montaigne attempts to take over much of the nearest territory. He is dealt a decisive defeat by Avalon, pushing Montaigne into an agrarian state for the next several decades.
The Brothers Grimm publish their first collection of "Adventure Tales" detailing some of the more unusual races and customs of the Eisen countryside
With ambassadors from 23 countries convening to redraw national boundaries and establish freedom of navigation and commerce. The Congress greatly helps Eisen’s ability to grow and Novandria begins to become a center of culture and commerce for the country. Patlov is created as a separate country at this time.

Eisen goes through a period of severe upheaval as workers demand more rights, unification of the various Eisen city-states, and various races demand equality. King Ferdinand the second steps down and retires to the country after a relatively bloodless revolution. The sparks of revolution result in a unified Eisen under one parliament with each noble house allowed to participate. Avalon’s potato crop begins to rot from a magical curse, causing the four-year Innismore Potato Famine, also known as the Great Hunger, that lead to 1 million deaths and caused 1 million people to emigrate from the country, landing in various cities throughout Wabanahkik and the peninsula. Eisen is a popular destination for relocation due to its cosmopolitan outlook.
Hans Christian Oersted working on electrical magnetism in Vesten discovers the ability to embed elemental entities into technology, revolutionizing the way technology works throughout Terranon and, as a result, changing the political and social face of the world. Despite the immensity of this discovery, it is almost 50 years before the technology will become widespread outside of noble houses.
A cooperative monarchical vaccination act across several countries, including Eisen, makes it mandatory for children born after Aug. 1, 1853, to be vaccinated against a variety of mundane and more magically oriented diseases. Parents failing to comply are fined or imprisoned.
Montaigne and Avalon declare war on Ruskovich, launching the so-called “Elemental War”, which largely surrounds Ruskovich’s continued attempts to undermine and eliminate Elemental technology for a more traditional lifestyle. In a blatant attempt to set Montaigne and Avalon back, Ruskovich sabotages several important new inventions
King Galileo Montero of Vodacce dies of old age, leaving his son Prince Julio Cesar Montero to inherit the throne. Prince Midas Isod Montero rebels against his brother before he can be crowned king, starting a year long civil war. Prince Julio Cesar Montero is captured by his brother, officially ending the civil war on June 6, 1864. Prince Midas is declared King of Vodacce, forming a more conservative absolute monarchy. Many of Prince Julio’s allies continue their rebellion as bandits and pirates, but with their leadership captured, they lose much of their cohesion.
Eisen establishes the Menschen Charter, starting a period of political and social reform.It calls for a more democratic system including six points: the right to vote for all citizens age 21 and older regardless of race or gender; no property qualification to run for office; annual elections; equal representation; and vote by secret ballot. It is the basis for later reform in Avalon and around Terranon
The Levinquick Radiophone, colloquially called the "Lev", is a marvel of eletech technology. Avalon’s Alexander Graham Bell is awarded a patent on his invention of the levinquick radiophone, and, three days later, famously makes the first phone call to Thomas Watson, his assistant in Eisen. The telephone is run by air elementals traversing the lines and carrying sound instead of the prior electric signals.
The first modern railroad line powered by Elementals, the London-Birmingham Railway, opens.
